Gayle: It was a team effort and I am extremely happy with the result. Congratulations to Sammy for his match winning performance. It was a tough call to leave out Benn but Rampaul came in and played well. We cannot afford to relax as we know that Zim will come hard at us in the 4th ODI.

Sammy: My job was to bowl in the right areas and fortunately for me, I picked up the key wickets. From the first ball i bowled, I realised that the ball is holding on a bit and all I needed to do was to pitch it where it matters.

|
Utseya: We needed to bat well in order to chase such a big total. West Indies made the most of the conditions and they deserve this victory. We will come back strongly in the next ODI

The West Indies pace battery blew away the Zimbabwe batting. When Roach struck in the first over, Zimbabwe had a mountain to climb. Darren Sammy, Kemar Roach and Dwayne Bravo ripped through the Zimbabwe top order as the batsmen collapsed like a pack of cards. Darren Sammy, in particular, was lethal in the middle overs while Roach and Bravo backed him up superbly. None of the Zimbabwe batsmen managed to score confidently except Hamilton Masakadza. In the end, it was a disappointing performance from Zimbabwe who made the chase of 246 look very difficult. Zimbabwe have been bowled out for 104. WI win by 141 runs and go 2-1 up in the 5 match series.
